Exhibits built from the case imaging

We build physical models, interactive exhibits, renderings and animations for plaintiff attorneys whose cases turn on what happened inside the body. Each one starts from the client's own CT or MRI.

Physical models

Models of bone and soft tissue built to scale from the case imaging: fractures, blood vessels, injured structures and the surgical hardware placed in them. We also build scaled replicas of implants and hardware. Sections can be transparent, and parts can lift off, so a jury can see inside the anatomy.

Interactive exhibits

On-screen 3D anatomy that a presenter can rotate, zoom and take apart. The client's imaging slices can sit beside the model or over it, and before-and-after states can be compared in the same view.

Renderings and animations

Still renderings and short animations made from the same models, for mediation statements, slides, demand packages and video.

Exhibit planning

We work with counsel and the retained experts to decide what each exhibit has to show, and we design it around the facts in dispute.

Examples

What these look like in practice

Rendered spine model with a clear vertebral front lying on the base beside it, exposing the artery
Rendering: a cervical spine model with a vertebral front that lifts away to show the artery inside the bone. Case study
Close rendered view of a red artery beside the neck vertebrae, with a thin black band around the vessel
Rendering: a carotid artery model with the measured section marked in black. Case study
Rendered pelvis with metal screws drawn out of the bone along their long axes beside the plate
Rendering: fixation hardware shown screw by screw, from an interactive exhibit. Case study
How a project works

From imaging to delivered exhibit

  1. Send the imaging and your deadline

Tell us about the matter and what the exhibit needs to show. We review the imaging and the questions in dispute.

  2. We scope the exhibit

We propose what to build and quote it before any work starts.

  3. Counsel approves a digital proof

You review the model on screen and request changes before the final exhibit is built.

  4. We build and deliver

The physical model, interactive exhibit or renderings are built from the approved proof and delivered to counsel.

Questions

Common questions

Do you work for defense firms?

No. We have worked only for plaintiff attorneys since 2018.

What do you need from us to start?

The relevant imaging, such as CT, MRI or CT angiogram studies, ideally as the original files from the hospital or imaging center; any reports that describe the injury or procedure; and your deadline. Once we have talked, we will tell you how to send the files.

Can an exhibit be checked against the medical records?

Yes. Each model is built from the case imaging, so it can be compared with the source scans. A consulting physician or radiologist can review the model before the final exhibit is built.

Do you publish prices?

No. Each exhibit is scoped to the case, and we quote it after reviewing the imaging and what the exhibit needs to show.

Can an exhibit be used at mediation as well as at trial?

Yes. We build exhibits for mediation, settlement and trial preparation, and the same model can serve all three.

What kinds of cases do you work on?

Medical malpractice and surgical error, personal injury and wrongful death cases in which the injury or the procedure has to be shown inside the body.
